EETC awards substation contracts worth EGP 994 million

State-owned EETC has awarded substation contracts worth EGP 994 million on a turnkey basis. The first contract has been awarded to Elsewedy Electric’s subsidiary, Elsewedy Electric for Trading & Distribution, for the expansion of the Toshka 2 and Benban 3 substations. The engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract is valued at EGP 687 million and will be implemented over a period of 12 months from the date of signing the contract. The second contract has been awarded to an alliance comprising South Korean Hyosung, Chinese TBEA Hengyang Transformer and TBEA ZONFA Shanghai High Voltage Switchgear for the establishment of the New Oweinat substation. The contract is valued at EGP 307 million and will be implemented over a period of 12 months from the date of signing the contract.
