NGCP plans to invest up to PHP 463 billion for transmission strengthening

Private concessionaire for the Philippine transmission network, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) is planning to invest up to PHP 463 billion in the next 10 years to strengthen the country’s power transmission. The grid operator is working on several power transmission projects such as the 500 kV Taguig City, Marilao and Bulacan substations, and 230 kV substations in Pasay, Navotas and Antipolo, which have been classified as energy projects of national significance by the Department of Energy. These projects aim at managing the power load growth of the Metro Manila region.
