EESL has signed an MoU with the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) to establish charging infrastructure for electric vehicles (EVs) in the SDMC area over a 10-year period. Under the terms of the MoU, SDMC and EESL will jointly work to fast-track the adoption of e-mobility in Delhi by installing around 75 public charging stations in the SDMC area. The procurement of charging units and related infrastructure will be borne by EESL along with the O&M of the public charging stations. The SDMC will be responsible for the provision of space for setting up charging infrastructure in its area. In the first phase, EV charging stations will be installed at 18 locations within six months from the effective date, selected through a joint survey by both parties.
