Successful bidders announced under FAME-II

Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), Rajasthan Electronics & Instruments Limited (REIL), NTPC Limited and Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (Powergrid) have reportedly emerged as successful bidders for setting up charging stations under Phase II of FAME. REIL has emerged as the qualified bidder for setting up about 1,000 charging stations in 50 cities and EESL for 600 charging stations across about a dozen cities. NTPC is likely to get contracts for 200 charging stations while Powergrid may qualify for about 10 charging stations. Of the total outlay of Rs 100 billion for FAME II, Rs 10 billion has been earmarked as subsidy for setting up the charging stations.
