Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited (TANGEDCO) has requested the MoP to extend the deadline for meeting the revised environment norms. The genco has sought an extension of two years to install flue gas desulphurisation (FGD) systems in two units at its North Chennai TPP. TANGEDCO is reportedly awaiting the offer from BHEL for the installation of emission control equipment in the remaining three units of its TPP.
