IIT Roorkee organised the 13th national conference on solid state ionics from December 16 to 18, 2019. Solid state ionics based devices are playing a key role especially in bulk electricity transportation and generation. They provide an alternative solution to pollution, the greenhouse effect, and dependence on oil imports. The conference engaged utility industry leaders, academicians and scientists from various organisations to discuss policies and best practices that are bringing energy conversion and storage to the forefront of conversations around the future of the grid, renewable deployment, and battery-operated electric vehicles.
