KEPC to construct 135 MW power project in Myanmar

The Kyaukphyu Electric Power Company (KEPC), a JV between Myanmar’s Supreme Group and the Chinese government-owned Power China Enterprise, will construct a 135 MW gas-fired power plant in Rakhine, Myanmar. The company signed an electricity purchase agreement with Myanmar’s Ministry of Electricity and Energy in November 2019. The project is expected to be completed in three years. KEPC has invested $172 million in the power project.
