Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity and Water (MEW) has issued tenders for the construction of four substations on a turnkey basis. Bids have been issued for the construction of 132/11 kV gas-insulated switchgear substations. The contractor will be required to undertake the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, and site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of the new substations and cable works. The duration of the contracts will be 24 months from the date of contract award. The last date for bid submission is February 16, 2020.
