Malaysian energy regulator notifies successful bidders under LSS3

Malaysia’s energy regulator Suruhanjaya Tenaga has notified five successful bidders under the Large Scale Solar 3 (LSS3) programme, Projek Loji Jana Kuasa Solar Berskala Besar Pusingan Ketiga. Under the programme, four projects of 100 MW each and one 90 MW project will be developed. The shortlisted bidders include a consortium of German developer ib Vogt and Malaysian company Coara Solar; a consortium of Cypark Resources Bhd and Impian Bumiria Sdn Bhd; a consortium led by French energy company Engie and Malaysian company TTL Energy Sdn Bhd; a consortium of local company Konsortium Beseri Jaya Sdn Bhd and the Singapore unit of South Korea’s Hanwha Group; and a consortium of Spanish developer Solarpack with Malaysian clean energy outfit JKH Renewables. The projects will begin commercial operation in 2021.
