The Andhra Pradesh High Court has directed the MNRE to constitute a committee to look into the issue of renewable energy curtailment by the Andhra Pradesh government. The committee will comprise experts from the Central Electricity Authority and Power System Operation Corporation Limited. The directive is in response to contempt petitions filed by renewable energy developers alleging that state discoms have not followed the court’s September 2019 order asking them not to curtail renewable power.
