BHEL secures order for Raghughat HEP in Nepal

BHEL has secured an order for carrying electromechanical works for the 40 MW Rahughat Hydroelectric Project in Myagdi, Nepal. The order has been placed by Raghuganga Hydropower Limited (RGHPL). The project is primarily funded by the EXIM Bank of India through a soft loan, along with funding from the Nepal Electricity Authority and the Government of Nepal. The order envisages the design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, erection and commissioning of the complete electromechanical  package involving the supply of two vertical Pelton turbines (20 MW each) along with associated equipment, matching generators, governors, controls and instrumentation, etc.
