The MNRE plans to stop fixing ceiling tariffs in wind power tenders. The recent wind and solar auctions conducted by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) have received a lukewarm response from bidders due to ceiling tariffs. The removal of ceiling tariffs has been a long-standing demand of the industry as the rates are perceived to be too low.
