Guinea’s EDG and Male’s EDM seeks bids for World Bank-funded Guinea–Mali Interconnection

Guinea’s Electricité de Guinée (EDG) and Mali’s Energie du Mali SA (EDM-SA) have invited international competitive bids under the 225 kV Projetd’ Interconnexion Électrique Guinée Mali (PIEGM) or the Guinea-Mali Electricity Interconnection Project, which is being funded by the World Bank. The first tender is for the design, supply, installation and commissioning of the 225 kV double-circuit transmission line passing from the Siguiri substation (in Mali) to the Guinea-Mali border (approximately 53.7 km long). The second tender is for the design, supply, installation and commissioning of 225 kV substations in four lots. The last date for bid submission for both tenders is May 4, 2020.
