Sterite Power achieves financial closure of Lakadia Vadodara Transmission Project

Sterlite Power has achieved financial closure for its Lakadia Vadodara Transmission Project Limited (LVTPL). The project has secured funds worth Rs 20.24 billion from IndusInd Bank and L&T Infrastructure Finance. The company had secured the project (WRSS 21 – Part B) through tariff-based competitive bidding. The project connects the wind energy zones of Bhuj in Gujarat to the load centres in Gujarat and Maharashtra. It entails the laying of 330 km of 765 kV double-circuit transmission lines to connect the 765/400 kV Lakadia substation to the Vadodara substation in Gujarat in 18 months.
