The CERC has notified the Payment of Fees (Second Amendment) Regulations, 2020; the Procedure, Terms and Conditions for Grant of Trading Licence and Other Related Matters (First Amendment) Regulations, 2020; and draft Terms and Conditions of Tariff (First Amendment) Regulations, 2020. The CERC has also issued a suo moto order for the determination of forbearance and floor prices of renewable energy certificates (RECs). The CERC has proposed a forbearance price of Rs 1,000 per MWh and a floor price of zero for solar and non-solar RECs. In another development, the CERC has postponed the implementation of real-time power trading from April 1, 2020 to June 1, 2020 following requests from the industry. Besides this, the CERC has also extended the applicability of the Renewable Energy Tariff Regulations, 2017 for three months from April 1, 2020 to June 30, 2020. The generic tariff issued in the order dated March 19, 2019 will continue to remain in force until June 30, 2020. The CERC has extended the implementation of the security-constrained economic despatch pilot project for the period from June 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021, and expanded its scope to all generating stations willing to participate in the pilot.
