MNRE grants blanket extension for commissioning of RE projects

The MNRE has granted an extension of 30 days for the commissioning of renewable energy projects beyond the lockdown period. The renewable energy implementing agencies may grant extension of time for the commissioning of such projects, impacted due to the coronavirus lockdown, equivalent to the period of lockdown and an additional 30 days for normalisation beyond the curb period. The MNRE also said that this will be a blanket extension and there will be no requirement of-case-to-case examination, and also there will be no need to ask for any evidence of extension due to the lockdown.
