Afghanistan’s state-owned power utility Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat has signed a contract with an Indian EPC company, Kalpataru Power Transmission Limited (KPTL) to construct a 220 kV, 300 MW power line at a total cost of about $30 million. The line will run from Nangarhar province to Kunar province of Afghanistan and will enable power flow to Nuristan province as well. It is slated for completion by 2022.
