Myanmar’s Ministry of Electricity and Energy has released an invitation for PV developers to provide pre-qualifying bids to construct solar PV plants with a combined capacity of 1 GW. Power purchase deals will be awarded to the selected independent power producers for 20 years. In all, 30 solar installations with capacity ranging from 30 MW to 40 MW are planned to be through the tender. The last date for the submission of proposals is June 18, 2020.
