India and Denmark have signed a MoU for bilateral cooperation energy. The deal provides for collaboration in offshore wind, long-term energy planning, forecasting, grid flexibility, consolidation of grid codes to integrate variable generation options and operate them.
Under the MoU, a joint working group will be formed to execute the specified areas. In addition, stability in the power purchase arrangements, facilitating flexibility of power plants, volatility in the output of renewable energy etc. are also the aspects in which the Indian electricity sector will benefit from cooperation with Denmark.
