Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (TPDDL) has received over 90 per cent of its bill payments from digital modes during lockdown. Prior to lockdown about 65 per cent of consumers were making payments using digital modes.
Of all the available e-payments modes, e-wallets have emerged as the most preferred one with a share of 40-43 per cent followed by net banking with 20-21 per cent share. Further, the company has facilitated convenient delivery of bills on whatsapp and through other mediums such as – TPDDL connect mobile app, website and call centre.
