BHEL posts a net loss of Rs 15.32 billion in the quarter ended March 2020

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has reported a consolidated total revenue of Rs 214.90 billion in 2019-20, a decrease of 29.40 per cent as compared to Rs 304.41 reported in 2018-19. The company recorded a net loss of Rs 14.68 billion in 2019-20, as compared to a profit of Rs 10.02 billion recorded in 2018-19. In the quarter ended March 2020, the company recorded a loss of Rs 15.32 billion as compared to profit of Rs 1.61 billion recorded in quarter ended March 2019. BHEL’s manufacturing facilities and site executions were inoperative from March 23 to 31, 2020 which along with the Covid-19 impact globally impacted the company’s revenues.
