Delhi’s peak power demand stood at 5,805 MW on June 16, 2020, the season’s highest, crossing the previous high of 5,591 MW on June 12, 2020.
BSES Rajdhani Power (BRPL) and BSES Yamuna Power (BYPL) met the peak power demand of 2,635 MW and 1,311 MW respectively. In 2019, Delhi’s peak power demand had reached at 7,409 MW. Since easing of restrictions on May 18, Delhi’s peak power demand has increased by over 40 per cent.
