Hindustan Zinc, a Vedanta group firm, has reportedly placed its Rs 15 billion wind energy assets on offer.
The wind power plants are situated in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra , Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu. All plants in their respective states have power offtake agreements with discoms. The company also has captive solar power stations. Earlier, the company attempted to sell the wind energy business four years ago but shelved the plan because it did not get the price it was looking for at the time.
