American electric vehicle (EV) and clean energy company Tesla has reported the lowest price for its solar power system in the US.
The firm has announced that its average solar system is one-third cheaper than the industry average. It is estimated that the new prices for a large 12.2kW capacity system will lead to savings of $88,000 (£70,857) in California during the life of the system. The new price announcement is part of a commitment by Tesla to make solar energy more affordable.
