Canada’s Cordelio Power buys 350 MW of wind projects in Illinois

Canadian renewable power producer Cordelio Power has purchased two wind projects with a total capacity of over 350 MW in Illinois from US developer Swift Current Energy.

The Glacier Sands project is due to be operational in 2021, while the Moraine Sands project is expected to come online in 2022. The Glacier Sands project has a 14-year power purchase agreement (PPA) for a portion of its output. Both projects are located in Mason County. Cordelio has a renewable power portfolio with a combined capacity of over 1,000 MW, including 396 MW of wind and solar in Ontario which the company owns directly.
