GE Power India Limited (GEPIL) has been awarded three contracts for a combined value of Rs 8.50 billion ($112.57 million) to supply air quality control systems (AQCS) solutions to NTPC, UPRVUNL and Hindalco.
Hindalco Industries Limited has placed the order for a semi-dry FGD system for the Aditya Aluminium Plant Lapanga in Sambalpur, Odisha (1x150MW). NTPC Limited has awarded to contract for their Feroze Gandhi Unchahar Thermal Power Project Stage-I, II & III (2x210MW + 2×210 MW + 1x210MW) in Rae Bareli, Uttar Pradesh. This is GE Steam Power’s first wet FGD order to install common absorber for a combination of multiple boiler units. For UP Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam (UPRVUNL), GE will be setting up a combustion system modification of the boilers along with advanced firing system equipment to meet the NOx emission norms for their Harduaganj, Parichha and Anpara plants.
