PSPCL hydro projects surpass CEA’s generation target

Punjab State Power Corporation Limited’s (PSPCL) hydro projects surpassed the energy target set by the Central Electricity Authority (CEA) for the first quarter of fiscal year 2020-21. The hydro power plants generated 134.5 per cent of the stipulated targets by generating 1,419 MUs, against the target of 1,055 MUs.

While the Mukerian hydel project achieved generation of 380.18 MUs  against the target of 118 MUs (322 per cent of the target), the Anandpur Sahib project achieved a generation of 198.34 MUs against the target of 168M Us (118 per cent of the target), the Shanan power house, achieved a generation of 213.05 MUs against the target of 194 MUs (110 per cent of the target), and the Ranjit Sagar dam achieved a generation of 512.58 MUs against the target of 460 MUs (111.4 per cent of the target).
