The Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited (HPSEBL) has started serving disconnection notices to consumers who have not paid bills during the Covid-19 lockdown period.
Earlier, HPSEBL had extended the bill payment date time to time due to lockdown and last extension was till May 30, 2020. The board facilitated the consumers to pay bills by June 30, 2020 without facing disconnection. With HPSEBL facing financial constraints, it is now issuing a 15 day notice to defaulter consumers.
