Sembcorp Energy India Limited (SEIL) has became the first independent power producer to commission its projects in the first three wind auctions held by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), by commissioning projects with a combined capacity of 800 MW.
The three latest projects of Sembcorp have a capacity of 250 MW, 250 MW, and 300 MW respectively. The first one is based in Thoothukudi in Tamil Nadu, while the latter two are in Bhuj, Gujarat. The combined acreage of the projects is 2,606 square kilometres. This takes Sembcorp’s total capacity across the country to 1,730 MW.
