Thailand’s Banpu to buy 37.6 MW wind park in Vietnam

Thailand based energy company Banpu PCL has signed a deal to buy a 37.6 MW wind park in Vietnam.

The share purchase agreement was signed between Ven-wind New Energy and BRE Singapore Pte Limited, part of Banpu PCL and Banpu Power PCL. As part of the deal, BRE Singapore will acquire 100 per cent of El Wind Mui Dinh Limited, which owns and operates the Mui Dinh wind park in Ninh Thuan Province. The wind farm, which consists of 16 Enercon turbines, was fully commissioned in April 2019. The facility has a 20 year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Vietnam’s state-owned utility EVN.
