Ratle hydro power project to be revived soon

Work on the 850 MW Ratle hydro power project of 850 MW in Jammu and Kashmir which has been stalled for six years will be revived soon. The preliminary work such as construction of access roads and diversion tunnels was started in 2013 but the work got stopped due to various issues.

The Ratle project is a run-of-river scheme located on river Chenab in Kishtwar district of the union territory. A memorandum of understanding has been signed between NHPC Limited and the government of Jammu and Kashmir for the project.
