The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) has approved tariffs and trading margins for power from 480 MW of solar PV projects. These tariffs were discovered by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) in its auction for 1.2 GW tender (Tranche-V).
In its order, the CERC has approved tariffs of Rs 2.53 per kWh and Rs 2.65 per kWh for 150 MW and 330 MW of projects quoted by GRT Jewellers India (GRT) and Softbank Energy (SB Energy), respectively. Further, it has also directed the contracting parties to mutually agree upon a trading margin of Rs 0.07 per kWh. The power will be bought by Bihar State Power Holding Company Limited, North Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited as well as South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited.
