KPTL commissions two elements of NERSS-VI transmission project

Kalpataru Power Transmission Limited (KPTL) has announced the successful partial completion of the North Eastern Region Strengthening Scheme (NERSS)-VI Project.

The project entails establishment of the 400/220 kV, 2×500 MVA New Kohima substation and 400 kV Imphal–New Kohima and New Kohima–New Mariani lines in the states of Nagaland and Manipur, at an estimated cost of Rs 6.53 billion. The latter is being implemented by its project-specific special purpose vehicle (SPV) Kohima–Mariani Transmission Limited (KMTL), incorporated for the project. The two work elements of KMTL—New Kohima substation (Element 1) and the 400 kV New Kohima–New Mariani transmission line (Element 3)—have been put into scheduled commercial operation.
