NTPC Limited reported a 5.10 per cent year-on-year decrease in its standalone net profit to Rs 24.70 billion during April-June 2020, compared to Rs 26.02 billion in the same quarter of the previous year. The gross generation of NTPC during April-June 2020 stood at 60.18 billion units as against 68.49 billion units during the corresponding previous quarter.
NTPC coal stations achieved plant load factor (PLF) of 58.22 per cent during April-June 2020 as against the national average PLF of 46.70 per cent. On standalone basis the company’s total income recorded at Rs 240.21 billion during April-June 2020 as against the total income of Rs 245.18 billion during the corresponding previous quarter. Profit after tax (PAT) during April-June 2020 stood Rs 24.70 billion (after allowing rebate to beneficiaries which have met the conditions approved by the board, of Rs 8.02 billion on the capacity charges during the lock down period).
