Vena Energy Renewables and JSW Solar emerged as the first and second lowest bidder in a 2.5 GW wind auction conducted by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). The two players won 160 MW and 810 MW capacities at a tariff of Rs 2.99 per unit and Rs 3.00 per unit, respectively.
The tender was for 2,500 MW but only 970 MW was awarded. The last wind auction it conducted was in August 2019 where the winning tariffs were in the range of Rs 2.83-2.84 per unit.
