Nepal’s NEA invites bids under Electricity Grid Modernisation Project

Nepal’s state-owned power company, Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), has invited international competitive bids for various works under the Asian Development Bank (ADB)-funded Electricity Grid Modernisation Project

The scope of work under the first contract entails the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the 132 kV Dandakhet–Rahughat transmission line and associated substations at both ends in the Myagdi district of Nepal. The last date of bid submission for the contract is October 12, 2020. The scope of work under the second contract entails the design, supply, installation and commissioning of 132/33 kV air-insulated switchgear (AIS) substations at Keraun in Morang district, with associated 33 kV subtransmission lines. The last date for bid submission of the contract is October 14, 2020. Under the third contract, the scope of work entails the design, supply, installation and commissioning of 132 kV transmission line conductor upgrading. The last date for bid submission of the contract is October 15, 2020.
