According to a report published by the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), Nepal has exported electricity worth NPR 957 million to India in 2019-20.
Nepal had set a target of selling 90 million units of electricity during the fiscal year, and was able to send 107 million units. Nepal and India previously had a capacity to carry 350 MW of power using the cross-border connectivity line, which has been expanded to 1,500 MW.
