The UK’s Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) had issued an improvement notice to EDF unit EDF Energy Nuclear Generation Limited over safety procedures at the Heysham 2 nuclear power station in Lancashire.
Some of the equipment measuring reactor power was configured incorrectly during the reactor’s restart process following a planned outage in April 2020. EDF Energy has until April 30, 2021 to comply with any suggested measures.
