CESC Limited, which took over the power distribution franchise in Malegaon circle in Maharashtra in March 2020, has suffered a loss of Rs 2 billion.
According to CESC, the electricity losses which were proposed at 50 per cent have turned out to be 65 per cent in Malegaon town. The company has already taken up measures to improve the power supply conditions for the residents. However, theft of power has added to the losses.
