The Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC) has notified the MERC (State Grid Code) Regulations, 2020.
These regulations aim to lay down the rules, guidelines and standards to be followed by state entities and users of intra-state transmission system (InSTS) to plan, develop, operate and maintain InSTS as an integrated part of western region grid system and National Grid, in the most efficient, reliable and economic manner, while facilitating a healthy competition in the generation and supply of electricity.
