Reportedly, this floating solar plant with 5 MW capacity will be the largest of its kind in the country. Previously, there was one at Chittur near Tirupati that had a generation capacity of 4 MW. The state government will have to spend Rs 220 million for developing the plant. It will be able to provide electricity to more than 100,000 households after becoming fully operational.
