Wind turbine firm Vestas has launched a new variant of turbine optimised for low and ultra-low wind project conditions in India.
The turbine would be locally manufactured and sourced in the country. According to the firm, the V155-3.3 MW turbine would increase the turbine swept area by 67 per cent in comparison to V120-2.2 MW, and improve the annual energy production by more than three per cent for a 300-MW wind park with 46 fewer turbines.
