Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited (Mahagenco) has cancelled the tender for installation of flue gas desulphurisation system (FGDs) at the 660 MW unit of Koradi thermal power plant.
The cancellation follows a directive from the power ministry seeking government organiaations not to procure Chinese equipment. The bid for the FGDs was, reportedly, awarded to a joint venture of an Indian public sector undertaking (PSU) and a Chinese firm.
