Waste-to-power plant unveiled in Ghazipur in Delhi

A waste-to-power plant has been inaugurated at Ghazipur in Delhi. The plant will produce electricity through bio-gasification of bio-degradable waste generated from the poultry market.

The plant will combust 15 tonnes of waste to produce 1,500 units of electricity. The cost of managing and operating the plant for six years is estimated to be Rs 11.1 million.
