Sanjay Malhotra has assumed charge as chairman and managing director (CMD) of REC Limited. Sanjeev Kumar Gupta, director (technical), had hitherto been holding additional charge as CMD since June 13, 2020. Malhotra is a 1990 batch IAS officer of the Rajasthan cadre. Prior to this, he was serving as additional secretary in the Ministry of Power.
