The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has unpaid electricity bills of Rs 71.54 billion since June.
The arrears from residential and low-end consumers amount to around Rs 50.89 billion. The high-end consumers need to pay Rs 9.47 billion. Further, the consumers found the bills to be hefty and are awaiting a relief package from the state.
