India’s L&T secures transmission contracts in Nepal and Saudi Arabia

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has recently secured transmission segment contracts in Nepal and Saudi Arabia.  

The contract in Nepal entails the design, supply, installation and commissioning of a crucial 220 kV gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) substation, along with associated works in connected substations. The aforementioned contract is part of the “Power Transmission and Distribution Efficiency Enhancement” project being undertaken to reduce system overloads and losses. In Saudi Arabia, the company has secured orders to establish certain transmission links in the existing 132 kV network.
