The state-owned Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Limited (PGCB) has invited expressions of interest (EoI) for consultancy services for drone legislation, under the Asian Development Bank (ADB)-funded Dhaka and Western Zone Transmission Grid Expansion Project.
The Dhaka and Western Zone Transmission Grid Expansion Project consists of three components. The first component entails the construction of about 40 km of transmission lines and substations with a total capacity of 4,450 MVA in Greater Dhaka. The second component entails the construction of 12 gas-insulated switchgear substations with a total capacity of 3,070 MVA, and 368 km of transmission lines and 20 bay extensions in nine existing substations in the Western Zone. The third component involves the strengthening of the institutional capacity of PGCB, in the areas of asset management, and operation and maintenance. The last date for the submission of bids is December 21, 2020.
