Uttar Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation Limited (UPPTCL) is all set to build three new substations in Greater Noida.
The first two substations will have 220 kV of capacity, while the third will have 400 kV. The first and second substations will be built in Amarpur and Jalpura respectively, while land for the third substation is yet to be acquired. The expected cost for the 220 kV substations has been estimated at Rs 700 million, while the 400 kV substation will need Rs 2 billion of funding. The addition of these substations will cater to the increasing electricity demand in the area, which is expected to increase by 100 MW next year.
