Transmission Corporation of Telangana Limited (TSTRANSCO) and Telangana State Power Generation Corporation Limited (TSGENCO) rolled out the pensioners digital life certificate system (PLCS) for Telangana state power utilities using T App Folio on November 17, 2020 at their corporate office. This was launched by D. Prabhakar Rao, chairman and managing director of TSGENCO and TSTRANSCO.
The pensioner life authentication system using T App Folio is developed to facilitate pensioners to submit their annual life certificates, without stepping out of their homes in view of the prevailing Covid-19 pandemic situation. The pensioners life authentication system has been integrated with the T App Folio, which enables various citizen services provided by the Government of Telangana. TSTSL have developed a platform, called real time digital authentication identity (RTDAI), wherein pensioners and family pensioners (around 23,000) across four power utilities (TSGENCO, TSTRANSCO, Telangana State Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TSSPDCL) and Northern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Limited (TSNPDCL)) can submit their digital life certificates through the mobile application T App Folio anywhere at any time without actually visiting the respective pension payment office for submitting the life certificate. The Telangana state power utilities are the first in the country to implement the mobile app for pensioner life authentication.
RTDAI is built using demographic matching – a big data and machine learning-based engine is used to compare the name entered in the app with the available name in the data; face photo live verification- a micro-texture-based analysis is carried out through artificial intelligence (AI) enabled to differentiate a real face from a face of photo/video; and deep learning-based photo comparison – deep learning image comparison engine is used live image captured with the available image of a person.
